Hi and thankyou for taking the time to find me and look at my website. The most important thing you need to know is that I am a fully qualified and registered level 2 equine dentist with the WWAED (World Wide Association of Equine Dentists) and IAED (International Association of Equine Dentists). The WWAED is the only dental association in the UK that is recognised by DEFRA to provide level 2 training and testing.
I am also a certified bitting analyst so can help you with advice on the right type of bit for your horse.
There is a lot of information on this site. If you can read it all great, but if you can't please read the page "Your choice." I want your horse to receive the best treatment and it may shock you to find out how little training some people claiming to be dentists have actually had. It is estimated that for every qualified dentist there are 5 people claiming to be qualified who are not.
As you read through these pages I hope you will find all the information you need to know about who I am, what I do and the services I offer to my clients.
The areas I cover are Yorkshire, County Durham and Northumberland. I also travel to Scotland in March and September visiting clients in the Scottish Borders, East, Mid and West Lothian. In May and November I work around the Hull area.
If I am working in your area I do not charge any form of call out or consultation fee, so it will not cost you anything to have your horses examined. However emergency visits may incur a call out fee depending on location.
All clients receive a dental chart of my findings and we will discuss any corrective dental procedures your horse requires. If I am not in your area then please feel free to call me and I will help you if I can, or advise you of a suitably trained specialist.
My appointment schedule gets full very quickly and appointments are booked 6-8 weeks in advance, so if you would like a consultation please contact me sooner rather than later and let me know how many horses you would like me to examine, the yard address including the postcode and your availability. I will then do my best to come and see you or help you find someone who is suitably qualified. It does not matter if you only have 1 horse, I will come and see you.
Not many people can truly say they love the work they do and that they have for them what they consider to be the best job in the world.
I have loved horses since I first sat on one when I was just 2 years old. As I grew up I found that I have an affinity with horses and that we like, trust and respect each other.
So now I feel very honoured that they allow me to work with them and I always treat them with the patience, courtesy and respect they deserve.
It is said that knowledge is a wonderful thing but it is wasted if it is not shared with others.
What I want to do with my knowledge, skills and experience is to help everyone to have a better understanding and working relationship with their horses.
